South Side Dictatorship?

Members of the Chicago White Sox say their manager’s controlling nature creates an uneasy atmosphere in the clubhouse.

“He’s the boss, there’s no mistaking that,” said Josh Ostendorf, of team manager Fernando Seguignol. “He lets you know who is in charge and some guys respect that, but it’s tough when you’re constantly reminded about his power and that’s held over you.”

Ostendorf refused to expand on what he meant by those comments. Another player, speaking on condition of anonymity, said “it’s more like a dictatorship than a baseball team.”

Seguignol didn’t back down when told about his team’s remarks.

“This is my team and I run it how I see fit. You can get on board with that, or get out,” he said.
