Berrier Is King of Swing: Goes Deep 3 Times

Oakland Athletics bombardier Tim Berrier set his sights on the stands and blasted three balls over the fence as his club took a 10-5 win over the Nashville Stars today.

“I guess you could say I was a good guesser today, especially on the last one,” Berrier told writers in the postgame press room. “I was ahead in the count, so I gambled that I’d get a certain pitch, and got all of it.”

For the game, the Oakland first baseman had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 6, and scored 4 runs.

Tim Berrier hit a solo-shot off Alfredo Segura in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Alfredo Segura in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Serbousek in the 7th and walked in the 9th.

To date this season Berrier is hitting .254 with 35 home runs.
