New York’s Espinoza Snags Cy Young Award

This year the top vote-getter for the 2035 Cy Young Award was Stephon Espinoza of the New York Mets, who finished with an outstanding 18-8 mark and an impressive 3.77 ERA.

In his award-winning season, the 33-year-old Mets star hurled 241 innings, chalking up 287 strikeouts and 103 walks, and limited hitters to a .242 batting average.

Raul Rangel of the Texas Rangers finished second in voting, while Bobby Scott of the Montreal Expos finished third.
