A classic and dramatic Divisional Series has wrapped up, with the Oakland Athletics outlasting the New York Yankees to advance to the League Championship Series.
Oakland won the final game by a score of 11-5 and took the series 4-3.
“We can enjoy this one tonight, but then it’s back to work and thinking about the next win,” said Oakland left fielder Amilcar Bvon, whose standout performance earned him the nod as series MVP.
Bvon hit .357 with a .419 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 8 runs.
