With a 6-5 win to wrap up the series at Fidelity Field, the Baltimore Orioles have eliminated the Washington Nationals in the Wild Card Series and move on to the Divisional Series.
Baltimore controlled the series from the outset and won it in a 2-0 sweep.
Inacio Belinho led the charge offensively for the victors, winning series MVP honors. He posted a .333 batting average, along with a .400 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs.
“We’re not done yet,” the MVP said. “There is still a lot to accomplish.”
The Divisional Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wild Card Series finishes.
