The sweet swing of Kevin Montgomery has led his team through the Wild Card Series.
The Miami Marlins star earned series MVP honors as his club downed the Nashville Stars to advance to the Divisional Series.
The Marlins won the final game at X.com Stadium by a score of 10-7 and the series 2-1.
“I’m seeing the ball well and happy to contribute to a win,” said Montgomery. “I hope it continues for the rest of the playoffs.”
For the series, Montgomery hit .500 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 1 runs.
The Divisional Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wild Card Series finishes.
