The season is apparently over for Luis Lisi. The Oakland Athletics medical staff informed the club that the third baseman will be out at least 5 months with a severely strained hip muscle. Lisi was hurt in the game against Milwaukee while running the bases. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season.
Lisi is batting .276 this season in 123 games with 24 home runs, 82 RBIs and 71 runs scored. He has 126 hits in 457 at-bats.
