The Rockies and Diamondbacks confirmed this afternoon that a trade had been agreed upon. In the deal, Colorado will get 20-year-old minor league LF Steve Thompson, 18-year-old minor league CF Josh May, 29-year-old minor league 2B Bret Boswell, 28-year-old minor league LF Jeren Kendall and 28-year-old minor league RF Donovan Casey, while Arizona will receive 33-year-old RHP Kevin Gausman and $1,600,000 in cash.
Gausman has a 4-6 season record so far. In 14 starts, he has fanned 105 batters in 97.2 innings with a 5.53 ERA.
For the season Kendall has hit .130 with no home runs and 2 RBIs. He has played in 12 games and scored 2 times.
