The Chicago White Sox trainer was the bearer of bad news today, as it was learned Mike Mashall‘s injury will keep him out of the lineup for longer than expected. The White Sox starting pitcher is being treated for a torn labrum. During a routine exam, Mashall‘s condition was found to be worse than originally diagnosed and he is now expected to rehab at least another 5 months.
Thus far in his career, Mashall has 18 victories and 12 defeats with a 3.51 ERA. He has limited other teams to a .237 average.
