Saturday, November 10th , 2029
At the age of 25, Juan Gallegos of the Baltimore Orioles could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It’s a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2029 was good enough to win the third baseman the National League Most Valuable Player Award.
“See the ball, hit the ball,” he said. “That’s my basic approach.”
The top hitter put up a .352 batting average this year, as well as a .394 on-base percentage. He played 155 games and racked up 219 hits, 37 doubles, 10 triples, 16 home runs, 90 RBIs and 108 runs scored.
Tyreek Sowe of the Washington Nationals finished second in voting, while Rusty Brittain of the Cincinnati Reds finished third.
