The Mets today announced that they have come to terms with Pete Alonso, a 32-year-old first baseman they’ve been scouting for a while.
Alonso will earn $23,252,500 a year over 4 years and is expected to play a key role with the club.
Taking a look at his lifetime stats, Alonso is hitting .253 with a total of 358 home runs.
