The Minnesota Twins are one step closer to the World Series.
The club prevailed 3-1 at Target Field tonight to eliminate the Cleveland Indians and advance to the League Championship Series.
The Twins won the series by a 3-1 margin, with first baseman and series MVP LaRon Smith leading the way.
“I’m proud of all the guys,” Smith said. “This was a team effort, not just me.”
The Minnesota Twins will play against the New York Yankees in the next round. New York won their series against the Houston Astros 3 games to 1. The League Championship Series is scheduled to begin on October 14th, 2024.
