The Washington Nationals have done the job in advancing to the Division Series, with a 2-1 win over the San Diego Padres at Petco Park.
Stephen Strasburg was a big reason for the victory, as he threw 5.2 innings, with 4 strikeouts, while allowing 5 hits, 3 walks and 1 run.
“It was a big stage, but in the end it’s still just pitching,” he said.
The Washington Nationals will play against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the next round. Los Angeles had a bye in the Wild Card Game. The Division Series is scheduled to begin on October 8th, 2021.
