Chicago Cubs Ship Peralta to Los Angeles: Chicago and Los Angeles have swapped players. The Cubs announced today that they have sent 32-year-old LF David Peralta and 28-year-old minor league LHP Sean Manaea to the Angels in exchange for 19-year-old minor league 2B Jose Alberto Guzman, 23-year-old minor league RHP Luis Madero, 24-year-old minor league 2B Justin Alan Jones and 22-year-old minor league 3B Adrian Rondon.
Chicago will retain a portion of Peralta’s remaining contract.

Looking at his season stats, Peralta has compiled a .262 batting average and a .327 on-base percentage, while hitting 13 home runs and driving in 49 runs.
