Jon Metz Wins MVP in American League Victory over National League

Kauffman Stadium was the place to be for baseball fans tonight, as the best MLB players gathered for the annual all-star game.

On the field, the American League downed the National League by a score of 8-7. Off the field, game MVP Jon Metz said he thinks everyone had a good night.

“You looked into the stands and it seemed like everyone was having a fantastic time,” said the 32-year-old, who went 2-for-2 in the game. “A game like this is good for the sport.”

For his career, Metz is hitting .227 with 177 homers, 451 RBIs and 771 hits.
