New HR Challenge Champ is Prieto

The 2037 Home Run Challenge provided thrills for the capacity crowd at Fidelity Field. In the end, Juan Prieto, the Washington Nationals first baseman, outclassed the competition. He beat the last challenger, Chris Kesler, in the final round, 11-10.

“I spent the last two weeks preparing for this event,” said Prieto. “The hard work paid off.”

His all-time numbers show Prieto has compiled a .236 batting average and collected 891 hits, 274 home runs and 698 RBIs.
