Josh Demske of the Chicago White Sox put on a pitching clinic today at Guaranteed Rate Field as he struck out 15 Oakland Athletics in a 3-1 victory. Demske, who leads the NL with a 1 complete games, was simply magnificent as he held the Athletics to 3 hits. He walked 2.
“I felt okay at the beginning,” Demske said, “but eventually my curveball really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game.”
When asked about Demske’s performance, White Sox manager Mike Jacobs shook his head and said, “Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating.”
