Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl

Rece Hinds of the Chicago Cubs and Jack Flaherty of the San Francisco Giants will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 2 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Cubs-Giants game at Wrigley Field.

Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Hinds and Flaherty will begin serving them soon.

Currently Hinds is batting .240 with 6 home runs, 18 RBIs and 15 runs scored.

So far this season Flaherty has a record of 8-8 with 115 strikeouts and 27 walks in 95 innings and a 4.64 ERA.
