Trout Suspended After Fight

Mike Trout of Los Angeles and Robbie Erlin of San Diego were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Trout will have to miss 3 games for his part in the brawl, while Erlin was given 6 games. League officials announced their suspensions today.

So far this season Trout has gotten 71 hits in 214 at-bats for a .332 batting average with 14 home runs. His stats include 44 RBIs and 54 runs scored. He has played in 60 games.

This year in 30 starts, Erlin has recorded 9 wins and absorbed 8 losses. He has pitched 152.2 innings, allowed 175 hits, struck out 106 and has a 4.54 ERA.
