Alzolay Done for the Year

Cubs Alzolay Gone for Year: A blow for Adbert Alzolay today — team doctors confirmed he will miss 9 months with a stretched elbow ligament. Alzolay suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Chicago Cubs are confident he’ll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Alzolay’s ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature.

Alzolay has made 17 starts, tossed 116.1 innings, struck out 110 batters and walked 50. His record is 8-5 with a 3.17 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .206 batting average.
