Reports out of Seattle this evening indicate that 63rd ranked prospect in all of baseball (and 2018 first round selection in the ameteur draft) Logan Gilbert will be recalled from AAA to make his first major league start. The Mariners are 19-26 so far this season and 10 games back of the first place Houston Astros. The roster move will likely be putting Yusei Kikuchi on the disabled list as he is reportedly dealing with a sore shoulder. It is unclear how long Kikuchi will be out but his early performance, 1-4 with a 8.42 era, leads us to believe that a spot in the rotation is not a guarantee for him when he gets back.
