The Oakland Athletics have cruised through the Wild Card Series, easily sweeping away the Nashville Stars by a count of 2-0.
The final blow came with a 5-4 triumph at X.com Stadium, which sends Oakland on to the Divisional Series.
“There’s a lot of focus from our team right now, up and down that bench and in the clubhouse,” said Bobby Brown.
For the series, Brown had a 0.00 ERA over 4.2 innings pitched, with a 2-0 record. He was named series MVP for his efforts.
The Divisional Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wild Card Series finishes.
