A classic and dramatic Wild Card Series has wrapped up, with the Colorado Rockies outlasting the Detroit Tigers to advance to the Divisional Series.
Colorado won the final game by a score of 5-4 and took the series 2-1.
“We can enjoy this one tonight, but then it’s back to work and thinking about the next win,” said Colorado first baseman Sam Davis, whose standout performance earned him the nod as series MVP.
Davis hit .500 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 4 runs.
The Divisional Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wild Card Series finishes.
