In an effort to add some depth to its roster, the Washington Nationals have swapped 24-year old minor league RHP Juan Capistran and 24-year old minor league LHP Jorge Cervantes to the Atlanta Braves for 33-year old RHP Nigel McNamara. The Nationals GM told reporters, “We saw a chance to upgrade our ball club and took it.”
Atlanta will retain a portion of McNamara’s remaining contract.
On the season McNamara has 8 wins and 6 losses and a 3.85 ERA.
