It’s being reported in the Miami press that the Marlins have traded 30-year old RHP Tyshawn Claybon to the Montreal Expos for 23-year old minor league RHP Bobby Ashmore and 22-year old minor league LF Eric Leija. However, there is no confirmation by the two ball clubs.
Miami will retain a portion of Claybon’s remaining contract.
This season Claybon has compiled a 9-5 mark with a 3.39 ERA in 20 starts.
