The fans in Oakland are celebrating the Athletics victory over the Chicago Cubs in the League Championship Series.
They defeated the Chicago Cubs 2-1 in the finale played at Pfizer Park to capture the series 4-1.
Amilcar Bvon was chosen the series’ Most Valuable Player. The Athletics left fielder batted .333, drove in 5 runs and scored 3 runs in the series.
“The Cubs are a good club and I don’t mean any disrespect to their pitching staff, but things just felt easy this series,” Bvon said. “Everything at the plate seemed right.”
The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
