#700 for Trout

The Montreal Expos defeated the Colorado Rockies 12-7 yesterday in a game that featured Mike Trout‘s 700th career home run.

In the clubhouse, the Expos right fielder spoke about the milestone achievement. “To be honest, I don’t even remember my first home run,” he said. “But this one I don’t think I’ll forget. Who knows if I’ll hit another hundred, or fifty, or even ten?”

On his historic day, Trout banged out 2 hits in 4 at-bats and scored 1 run with 2 RBI.

Trout has put up a career batting average of .278 with 2824 hits, 700 homers and 1790 RBIs.
