After their 6-3 win today at Ballpark of Montreal over the Montreal Expos, the Colorado Rockies will advance to the World Series. Colorado won the series by a 4-2 margin.
Leading the way for the Rockies was left fielder Gilberto Ontiveros, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP.
“I don’t play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game,” he said. “It’s certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can’t let it get to your head and change your focus.”
The Colorado Rockies will play against the Baltimore Orioles in the next round. Baltimore won their series against the Minnesota Twins 4 games to 1. The World Series is scheduled to begin on October 30th , 2031.
