Danny McMullen said his St. Louis Cardinals simply weren’t ready for the season to come to an end.
“We told ourselves we were winning this series no matter what,” he said, shortly after being named the Divisional Series MVP, following a 6-5 win at Busch Stadium that officially eliminated the Houston Astros, 4-1.
McMullen said his team is “confident and ready” for the League Championship Series.
The St. Louis Cardinals don’t know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Montreal Expos – Cleveland Guardians series. Montreal leads the series 3 games to 2. The League Championship Series is scheduled to begin on October 18th , 2030.
