Hayes Goes 5-for-6 Against Milwaukee

It was a parade of hits for Ke’Bryan Hayes of the Pittsburgh Pirates at Miller Park today.

Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Hayes finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Pirates to a 17-8 victory.

Hayes was really good and we were really bad,” groaned Brewers manager Pat Gomez. “Next time he’s that hot, we’ll just walk him.”

Ke’Bryan Hayes singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit a three-run double in the 8th.

Looking at his stats this year, Hayes has compiled a .333 batting average, while hitting 4 home runs and driving in 19 runs. He has played in 41 games and scored 24 runs.
