Keller Hosts Charity Golf Tournament

Los Angeles starting pitcher Mitch Keller has always been a fierce competitor. In recent years, this love of competition has helped him develop into an exceptional golfer.

He has participated in – and even won – several charity golf tournaments.

“I’ve managed to lower my handicap significantly just over the past few years,” said Keller with a smile. “I’m no pro, but I think I can hold my own out on the links.”

Now, Keller is putting his skills to the test as he hosts his very own tournament, the Mitch Keller Celebrity Pro-Am.

Keller was the first to tee off this morning, along with Los Angeles Angels first baseman, Rhys Hoskins, and Angels manager, Dave Anderson.

“Mitch has always had a charitable spirit. He did a great job getting this thing organized,” said the Los Angeles skipper.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit numerous local charities.

“I’m grateful to everyone who helped me pull this off and to everyone who came out to watch,” said Keller. “We raised a lot of money for some very worthy causes today. Hopefully, we can do this again next year.”
