Boston Red Sox Ship Bogaerts to Los Angeles: The Red Sox have reached a deal with Los Angeles, sending 28-year-old 3B Xander Bogaerts and 30-year-old RHP Nathan Eovaldi to the Angels in exchange for 28-year-old 3B Colin Moran, 20-year-old minor league RHP William Holmes and 19-year-old minor league RHP Cayden Wallace. Reports had been hinting at a deal in recent days, but weren’t confirmed until this afternoon.

Boston will retain a portion of Eovaldi’s remaining contract.

In his career Bogaerts is hitting .280 with a total of 117 home runs.

In his 448-game career Moran has tagged 415 hits with 82 doubles, 6 triples and 32 home runs. His lifetime batting average is .280 with 218 RBIs and 164 runs scored.
