Washington Nationals Ship Barrera to Chicago and add Tyler Chatwood to their depleted starting rotation.
Washington has worked out terms of a deal to send 36-year-old RHP Anibal Sanchez, 26-year-old minor league CF Andrew Stevenson, 25-year-old minor league C Tres Barrera and 24-year-old minor league RHP Andrew Karp to Chicago for 30-year-old RHP Tyler Chatwood. Both teams expect to introduce their new players at press conferences later in the week.
Chicago will retain a portion of Chatwood’s remaining contract.
This year Chatwood has 6 wins and 5 losses and a 3.77 ERA.
