Yelich Elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame

What a career and what a ballplayer.
Christian Yelich truly was one of the best to play the game, and today he was enshrined into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame with 94.7% of writer’s ballot votes.

“It is an honor to be mentioned with the greatest players of all time. I want to thank my family, friends and teammates for supporting me throughout this long career,” the outstanding left fielder said at the induction ceremony.

In his career, Yelich played in 2910 games with a .293 lifetime batting average. Among his 3225 hits were 564 doubles, 51 triples and 712 home runs. He also scored 2054 runs and drove in 2023 runs.

Christian Yelich retired from baseball at the age of 43 in 2034.
