Campos and Jaquish Fight, Suspended 4 Games

When fights happen, suspensions are not far behind. That axiom was held to be true today when Chicago‘s Alfredo Campos and Los Angeles‘s Tommy Jaquish were given a temporary vacation from the game, courtesy of the league commissioner’s office.

They both were suspended for 4 games for their actions in a recent ruckus between the two teams. Both benches cleared when Campos charged Jaquish.

Both players have accepted their fate and will begin serving their suspensions immediately. Neither would talk to reporters about the confrontation.

In his season totals Campos has 2 home runs and a .304 batting average.

To date, Jaquish has collected no saves in 11 relief appearances. He has rung up 9 strikeouts and 2 walks in 15.2 innings while registering a 3.45 ERA and a 1-0 won-lost record.
