Oakland Wins League Championship Series

The Oakland Athletics bandwagon is filling up fast, as the team has moved one step closer to winning a World Series championship.

Oakland downed the Miami Marlins 6-1 tonight at Pfizer Park, to take the League Championship Series 4-2.

“It seems much more real now and we’re really starting to realize we’ve got a great shot at this thing,” said Al Anderson, who was named series MVP. “When we play our best we’re as good as anybody in the Major League Baseball.”

For the series, Anderson had 10 hits for .400, with a .444 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, 3 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
