It was a sweet day for Chris Croft of the New York Mets, who found out he has been named the American League Player of the Week.
The Mets first baseman put up a solid .344 average and contributed 5 home runs and 10 RBIs to claim the honors.
So far this season Croft has 23 home runs and a .275 batting average.
