The Washington Nationals are one step closer to winning a World Series, and the season came to a close for the Los Angeles Angels.
Washington won the Divisional Series 4-1, with a 11-1 victory in the deciding game at Angel Stadium of Anaheim today.
Washington center fielder Jimmy Bilka was named the MVP of the series, after hitting .455 with a .455 on-base percentage. He had 8 homers, drove in 13 RBI and scored 9 runs.
“I just hope I can keep it up in the League Championship Series,” he said.
The League Championship Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.
