Chris Monte, general manager of the New York Mets, has signed off on a trade for Houston‘s 37-year old 1B Kyle Tucker. To complete the deal, the Mets will send 22-year old minor league SS Luis Calvillo, 18-year old minor league C Jim Klein, 22-year old minor league LHP Stephon Polite, and 21-year old minor league RHP Dan Thurman to the Astros.
Houston will retain a portion of Tucker’s remaining contract.
Thus far this year Tucker has hit .272 with 7 home runs and 21 RBIs.
