Ross Atkins‘s tenure as general manager of the Detroit Tigers has come to an end, club officials announced today. The split with Atkins, 60, was described by sources as amicable.
“Atkins and the coaches just had different ideas about how to build the roster,” a team insider said. “They have a good relationship, but nobody would buy into anyone else’s vision.”
