Big Bat Pays Off, Lindor Player of the Week

Few players his age are still in the league, but Francisco Lindor of the Cleveland Guardians clearly loves the game and clearly he can still get the job done. Last week the 39-year-old shortstop hit the ball with the consistency of someone ten years younger, which made Lindor a popular and well-deserved selection as American League Player of the Week.

He paced the Guardians attack by putting up a .478 batting average, 11 hits in 23 at-bats, 9 RBIs and 4 home runs. Lindor also scored 7 runs.

Looking at his stats this year, Lindor has compiled a .342 batting average, while hitting 5 home runs and driving in 18 runs. He has played in 18 games and scored 11 runs.
