Rodolfo Soto said he expected the Divisional Series to be “a battle from start to finish.”
In the end, it was nothing more than a minor skirmish, as the Colorado Rockies encountered little resistance in sweeping the Philadelphia Phillies, to advance to the League Championship Series.
“It may have been a sweep, but it still was a tough series,” said Soto.
Colorado won the final game by a 5-2 count and were led in the series by Soto, who was named MVP. On the series, he hit .385 with 2 home runs. He also drove in 5 RBI and scored 5 runs.
The Colorado Rockies don’t know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Montreal Expos – Texas Rangers series. Montreal leads the series 2 games to 1. The League Championship Series is scheduled to begin on October 20th , 2031.
