A terrific cast of sluggers competed in the 2030 Home Run Challenge. Christian Yelich, the Cleveland Guardians left fielder, prevailed to claim the championship hardware. He outperformed Shendrik Apostel in the final round by a score of 18-17.
“Everyone should get a chance to compete at least once in this event,” said Yelich. “It’s a lot of fun.”
During his career Yelich is hitting .300 with a total of 630 home runs.
