National League POTW

So far in his young career, Luis Herrera has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the National League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.

The 25-year-old Washington Nationals right fielder hit at a torrid .435 clip as he collected 10 hits in 23 at-bats, 5 home runs, 14 RBIs and 9 runs scored.

This season Herrera is batting .272 with 101 RBIs, 56 runs scored and 27 home runs.
